No.

After the first 20 minutes, it's at least colorful, but just no.

I'm glad to see Jack got off the island again and learned Kung Fu, though.

Even my henchmen think I'm crazy.

I believe this happens within the first two minutes of the movie. At least, there's a scene with Ed Norton getting worked over by some kind of martial arts instructor in order for him to control his anger.

Well, I mean, if the notebook is a hack written predictable load, then I'd love to read what YOU can write. So I know from how high a mountian this edict is passed down.

i never understood this line of thinking. Why is it that only those who know how to create a "thing" can critique it? I can't make meatloaf worth a thing, but I know what good meatloaf is.

You are correct. As for the martial arts instructor. Its Rickson Gracie as in Gracie jiu jitsu. Over 300 fights no losses.... This is also the style of martial arts that I have studying for little over a year now.

I thought Speed Racer was awesome, except the parts with the monkey, because I hate monkeys.

But then I had three advils, some xanax and two beers right before the movie. It was a wonderful and colorful blur. :P

Actually humanizes him.

Still proves he's an idiot, but he's a human idiot. I've always thought that he truly believed he was doing what was in the best interest of the country, but was too dumb to realize he wasn't.

Thandie Newton as Condi was more of a caricature than acting, but everyone else did a very good job, I thought.

I actually DID write a screen play, a few years ago...

However...

It IS a hack written predictable load... Exactly how I wanted it to be...

It's a comedy... Written in the same crappy nonsence style as the comedys of the time (anchor man, old school, etc)

My next one will be a drama, and if I ever get around to writting it, I'll make sure you get a copy when it's done...

But how fucking funny was it? I couldn't stop laughing whenever she started talking. Maybe its cause I hate that bitch. Not Ms Newton, I'm sure she's a lovely woman. Although, I guess she could be a giant cunt...but I digress.

Because I believe that the knowledge to do a thing correctly, well, or with some modicum of talent, gives insights as to the difficulties and nuance of performing that act. Sure, you can spot a good meatloaf, which is subjective anyway, but to know how to bake meat into loaf form, tell you how it's done, why it can't be done one way, or another.

Hmm... I'm having difficulty expressing myself here. How about this;

Ability to do a thing, engenders respect for the difficulty to do it.

You can respectfully dislike something, but to call somone elses work out on such a sweeping and derogotory level is intellectually irresponsible, in my opinion.

I disagree. I think it goes toward evaluating the aesthetic qualities of a medium.

I can recognize that a rose is beautiful without being able to create a rose; I can listen to a Bach contata and recognize genius without being a composer; likewise I can appreciate well done cinematography, developed dialog and a plot that doesn't have more holes in it than swiss cheese without necessarily being personally capable of creating any of the above.

Whether I respectfully dislike, or go completely apeshit over it is a simple difference of personality. And considering this is WTF, you may have to face the fact that some rather intelligent assholes may vent their frustration over the slop coming out of hollywood these days.

*shrug* I'm not saying you are completely wrong, I understand that the experience can add to your ability to better critique a film, but the absence of doesn't completely nullify it, either.

Granted, and I have a massive tendancy to preach tolerance one day, and cry for a torrent of hellfire the next.

I think my point remains valid. That and subjectivity has a hot to do with the whole thing.
