subject: Company of Thieves
I have heard only a little from this band and loved them, then I saw a clip of their song "oscar wilde" on television, I think it was a comercial for their album on iTunes. Anyone else a fan? I am interested in getting some more of their music, and perhaps buy some, but if anyone has suggestions as to what to look for, best album, etc, thanks. I am Thwart-Man! thwart thwart thwart

Bought their debut album. Very mellow, with some noticeable jazz and funk influences, but keep a pretty consistent alt/rock sound. Her voice is sad, sultry and soothing. As it turns out, Company of Thieves is native to Chicago, and the guy who works across from my cubicle knows them personally. So next show in Chicago I have an easy in to hanging with them backstage. Woot! I recommend you check it out. "One, two, five!" "Three, sir." "Three!"

Raging along with another youtube video banned because of some music used in a montage, the crazy kid behind the computer screen grabs a steak knife from last nights dinner lying cold beside his desk. Not knowing what to do, and blind with fury, the cat gets kicked yet again. After the dry-wall suffers a few more holes, and the dresser gets knocked to the floor, the steak knife finds its way into the innocent dog lying on the foot of the bed. 1,2,3 "FUCKING STUPID" 4,5,6 "PEICE OF SHIT" 7,8,9 "COCKSUCKERS!!!"
Nine wounds to the sleeping animal, and a tenth vicous stab to the leg of the freaking out teen.

This event happend when my brother, who after spending 16 hours editing some video, posted to youtube only to have his account banned and all his videos lost because of some song he put on it matched "third party content". Gotta say , SHAME YOUTUBE SHAME!

I'm thoroughly confused as per the point of kkkblackmember's post...
1 - Your brother's got the patience of a 4 year old, and lacks stress management skills. 'nuff said.
2 - "all his videos lost". I have a hard time seeing how that makes any sense... if he posted them, he had them saved somewhere... if he was ripping off other content however, they were "lost" because he wasn't allowed to use other people's work. Editing someone elses music and video does not make it yours, and you can't "lose" something you never had.
3 - It's all good and fine to whine about third party content laws when you're not the one being ripped off. Spending a few hours editing video and music which someone else poured their soul into creating from scratch is an ignorant attempt at creativity. You could re-arrange the panels from the Sistine chapel and put them in a collage, but that doesn't make you Michelangelo.
