Do you miss it? I'm ops, and this past week has been fucking HELL. I'd have been drunk beyond consciousness on Friday night if I
a) hadn't been on call, and
b) hadn't been committed to going to my mother's birthday dinner (and dropping her off at the airport in the morning).

Fuuuuck.

I know it's a mistake (it fucking better be!), but this is NOT what I needed today.

Except that they'd already sent me written notice that my rent was increasing by $200. Annoying, but relatively reasonable. So this comes out of fucking nowhere.

Having now gotten a shower and moved around a bit, I'm fairly certain they think I never signed my renewal lease (which I did last fucking month). I suppose this due to the email I got last week saying they'd "never" received a copy of my renter's insurance coverage (even though it was necessary to move in).

guh.

I'm seriously ready to do it.

The fuck that raped my stepsister walks. Because the prosecutor told her, in not quite so many words, that it was her fault.

I'm fucking livid. I'm at work, so I have to sit here and silently rage.

I want to kill him. More than that, I'm actually thinking of doing it.

The average solve rate for murder in this country was, last I looked, around 50%.

Rule number 1: never kill anyone you have clear motive to murder.

I'll be happy when he turns up dead, but good luck trying to tie me to it.

Again, that's average. That doesn't account for a lot of idiots who kill in a moment's rage, fail to plan well, etc. etc. etc.

The world does not function the way CSI does. Most places don't even do DNA testing on the vast majority if their cases 'cause it's fucking expensive and takes weeks to months to work its way through the queues.

The fact of the matter is that no matter how badly I want to, simple logistics puts half a nation between me and the deserving target. So regardless of if anything were ever to happen to him, I won't get to be a part of it. No matter how much I'd prefer to be.

That doesn't mean I can't be happy about the number of enemies he's spent his already-too-long life accumulating, and what that means for his long-term survival.

I gotta agree with hade on this one. If you are serious about committing a Serious Offense, you shouldn't fucking talk about it. Bragging greatly tips that 50%, and not in the perpetrator's favor.

Nothing wrong with letting off steam, but there's a big difference between "I wish someone would kill him" and "I want to kill him." One is passive, the other active.

. . . besides, the whole "eye for an eye" vigilante justice just supports the "humans are worthless" theorum, in a rather ironic fashion.

Forgiveness absolutely has its place. A deliberate act like this, however, does not warrant it. People like this don't change, and they don't learn lessons. They keep hurting others until they are stopped.

And there's a ways yet between "I want to kill him", which I do, to "I'm going to kill him." I want to do a lot of things that I cannot or will not do for various reasons. Acknowledging my wants does not make me a criminal.
