Chi-town kicks ass, but if you really want a cool place to go, try Kankakee, IL. It's an hour's drive south of Chicago, and it was in the news a while back for being the absolute worst place in America to live in. And you wanna hear something funny? I used to live there! HA!

I know how you feel. I'm from the west side over by columbus park, and I had friends out in Lake Forest, that suburb (and Naperville) scare me. Actually Frankie's Blueroom is in Naperville so it has something going for it, but people there can be so. . .prep. I wish there were a better word for it. If you can think of one (or many) post it.

i grew up in naperville. now i live in chicago (humboldt park, which is unfortunate, but what can i say.) i'll never live in naperville again, that's for sure. and the word for naperville, if you really want to know, is "sheltered". but then again, so are most suburbs. naperville is merely sheltered in a different way than some of the other suburbs.

All this talk of the snotty places around chicago, how about the shittiest? Ever here of a small town named Zion? I was fortunate enough to get out of the godforsaken place for a while, but I had to return and its gotten worse. It's a dry town for god's sake. Anyway, had to throw it in for my vote as one of the worst places to live in Chicagoland.
