It's healthier than the total apathy present in most people these days.

Besides, this whole presidency is shaping up to be nothing more than a big corporate give away. And all the hogs are lining up to the trough. Unprecedented power is being transferred to entities that have proven them selves completely incapable of self regulation.

If a company poisons your personal water supply, because it can and it saves them money, are you going to maintain your lazifair attitude? With the EPA on the ropes, the way it is, you likely will have no recourse but to start buying bottled water for not just drinking, but for dishes and bathing. And before you start in with "that won't happen" there are several counties that are facing that exact situation.

Not just Flint, but in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, upstate New York and Texas, there are people can no longer trust either ground water or municipal water supplies.

Just for example...

If you are not worried about this unprecedented presidency, and the repugnant swamp he has surrounded himself with, then I guess you are proof positive that ignorance is bliss.

45 might as well be shitting down our throats and calling it chocolate ice cream. What scares me the most is that there are still people swallowing his proverbial shit and saying, "Yum!" I guess Oscar Wilde was right when he said, "The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of an eye. The more light you pour on it, the more it contracts."

Meanwhile, my son just spent an extra three years getting his masters degree in biosystems engineering, hoping to do his part in making this a better and safer world to live in. Now, thanks to Dump's anti-science and anti-environment policies, my son is facing an uphill battle finding meaningful employment in a field that was burgeoning less than a year ago. Ah, but we don't need to waste precious money on tree-hugging shit like the environment. Right, Hade?

This is the SAME CRAP people said about Bush. and trust me, I was NO Bush fan, but we all made it. We lived. Nothing changed. And thats the same thing I predict now. Your day to day life will be fine. Nothing will change. You. Worry. Too. Much.

And as for your son. Sorry he's having a hard time finding a job, but job sectors grow and shrink all the time. If I had stuck to my original degree, I'd STILL be fucked, over 15 years later (Airline Pilot... Of the 10 guys I know who graduated with degrees at that time, only 2 are currently flying, and both make chump change as a salary.) Your son will make it, just bad timing is all...

We've come a long way in a short time from thoughts about N. Korea, but do you actually think having to use filters and boiling water before bathing in it is fine?

You've asserted above that I/we worry too much, that everything will be fine, nothing will change in our day to day lives. Wow, it's almost like you think the grown-ups know what they are doing, and will work everything out for us. We don't have to do anything, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Maybe you are too wrapped up in your own personal circumstance to notice the walls crumbling around you. I have heard that if you take a frog and put it in a cup of cool water, then place that water over a fire and slowly apply heat, the frog won't notice the rising temperature and will comfortable sit in its circumstance until it boils to death. Don't be a frog. Trump, affectionately known as 45, or Liar-in-Chief, or simply Old Pussy Grabber by those of us hesitant to give him any other title, is a paradigm shift in what you claim is Business as Usual! I didn't vote for Trump or Clinton, because I saw doing so as being a matter of which way I wanted to endorse the continued destruction of our country, or as I was saying during the election, "Damned if we Do, or damned is we Do. Enough for now, I've got bacon to cook.

No, I think its not gonna happen, and it won't come to that. But even if it did, thats not a big deal, the water is still usable. What do you think sewage treatment plants do to clean up water? Same thing...

"it's almost like you think the grown-ups know what they are doing"
No, they don't. It's all the old assholes who fucked this shit up in the first place. People my age and younger are mad at all of you assholes for fucking this shit up so bad!

"is a paradigm shift in what you claim is Business as Usual"
Good, cause business as usual wasn't working. I hope Trump shakes this shit up. I'm tired of everyone else getting shit, and me just working my ass off. Last week, I got a payment for 5 years of back pay, from a settlement with my job. The government took over 60% of that! HOW THE FUCK IS THAT FAIR?! I get almost nothing for my tax dollars, and watch assholes and illegals steal that money every day. I hope Trump shakes it up, and ends all that bullshit.

Guys. Just relax. It's gonna get better!

But it's guys like trump and other corporate asshats that have benefited the most from the current system. Not illegals, not welfare recipients, not old pensioners, but corporate tax dodgers and big business externalizing costs.

The only reason "illegals and moocher" are even part of the conversation is because they are easy scapegoats for the rich to blame.

Like the joke about the CEO, the immigrant, the conservative and a plate of ten cookies. The CEO takes 9 of them and says to the conservative "that immigrant is about to steal your cookie!".

Boiling water and using filters... No big deal? Well, not until you have to boil and filter your own. BTW, sewer treatment plants are on the downhill side of our water supply. Water treatment plants (typically government operated facilities, thus a socialist concept, BTW) are where most of our drinking water comes from.)

Grown-ups know... So you agree that the 'Grown-ups' (i.e. the people in charge) don't know what they are doing, and yet, according to you, all we have to do is sit back and rest assured that everything will be fine? Seriously?

As for your take on business as usual... Relax, Hade, everything is going to be fine. Trump is at the helm... and he loves you.
