Indeed! The actual quote, attributable to Robert Heinlein's infamous character, Lazarus Long, in the book, Time Enough For Love was, "Everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life, take big bites. Moderation is for monks."

Quite a few, I'd imagine. A huge majority of them don't find what they'd expect, and never come back.

it took me awile to respond I dont have high speed at home. Industrial hemp needs mild climate, humid atmosphere, and a rainfall of at least 25-30 inches per year. Good soil moisture is required for seed germination and until the young plants are well established.
Industrial hemp is an extremely efficient weed suppressor. No chemicals are needed for growing this crop. Industrial hemp is a low maintenance crop. I think IT is possible to grow it in the upper peninisula of Michigan. There are plans to build an ethonal plant in Kinross, MI and I know that we can obtain ethonal from hemp

The plans to build the ethanol plant in Michigan are almost certainly unconcerned with the climatological fitness of hemp in the area. Corn is a big crop in Michigan, and corn-based ethanol is the Green boondoggle of the day.

As for the UP - the climate is not mild, not particularly humid, and a vast amount of the precipitation comes in the form of snow. 9 months of winter and 3 of tough sledding as they say up there. In other words: hemp would likely do very poorly in the UP. The growing season is quite short that far north.

So you're moving to Australia I take it?
If you want a greencard/ permanent residency beyond the standard 90 day tourist visa, I suggest you train in a trade such as hairdresser, plumber, carpenter, chef. Those trades get a pretty fast approval.
