     hoo, boy. it's time for an update, considering i haven't made one in some time. now is a really great time to be short and concise, but i ramble a lot. likely, it'll probably be long and wandering with a horrible dearth of actual useful information.

     many of you have noticed the increase in strange e-mails coming into you from miscellaneous addresses inside and outside of whatthefuck.com. from what i and others have gathered, these are the result of the 'klez' virus or worm that has been propagating throughout unexpecting Outlook and Outlook Express users on Windows machines. it is able to send to any e-mail address in your address book from another address, "spoofing" or posing as another e-mail address. the from address may not necessarily be who it's really from. naturally, if microsoft could create a secure product to save their lives, this wouldn't be a problem. until then, we are working on ways to filter this mail for you. until then, please bear with it. if you sincerely think that one of your e-mails is the result of something worse, please let an administrator know.

     as you may or may not have noticed, the boards have suddenly changed. trust me, this was planned. this is a bit of a pre-release of the new boards system, completely redone with a new database back-end and more administrative features for the dorks up here.

     on the money front, thank you for your help! we've received $232.04 in donations via PayPal and $110.14 in donations via snail mail. this brings us to a grand total of $342.18 in total donations! i've gone ahead and sprung for a new database server, totalling around $700.00. you will see the speed increases over the next few weeks as we transfer user data and more to the new server. we still need help paying it out, and building out for more features! every little bit is appreciated. for more information on donating, or to donate via PayPal or snail mail, please visit our donation page.

     there have been a few administrative changes here at www.whatthefuck.com. due to a bit of a falling out within the whatthefuck.com administration, as most of you were privy to if you didn't live under a rock, we have a new administrator. greywarden and smjor appear to have left the site for good, but if the past is any indicator, they'll be back to start shit in a short amount of time. :) doing this by myself isn't very easy, and i become disheartened rather quickly. luckily, i have a great community to keep me up. i'm pleased to announce my new co-administrator, nevir.

Hello, my name is nevir. I am a long time member of the site, who has always wanted to do a bit more to contribute. So, oZ finally got his head out of his ass and made me an admin.

I am a 21 year old white male who currently resides in a small town in upstate New York. I have brown eyes, brown hair, and white teeth. I am about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. I am usually a nice guy, unless you convince me that you are an idiot. I am also a fairly silly person; in fact even when I am being serious I'm usually kidding around.

I hope that by being an admin I can improve the site and make it as popular as possible, while still reducing the number of morons who become members. This is probably an unrealistic goal, but whatthefuck, I'm going to try anyway. I also spend a ton of time on the boards, so I should be an admin who is very in touch with my subjec... er, the people. Unlike oZ, who just makes random appearances and smells strongly of sausage.

I currently work as toll collector, but my job changes all the time so don't hold me to that. I am also poor. My longterm goals include becoming a rich rockstar and raising a family. The only thing standing in my way is my inability to sing or play a musical instrument. I already have a girlfriend, so any ladies who are interested in a struggling computer dork who has unrealistic dreams and no money to speak of are out of luck.

So that's the gist of me. If you have a strong desire to get to know me better, sign up and read my columns or post something on the boards or email me. I'll see it and answer any questions you might have. And don't listen to anything the other members have to say about me, they are all compulsive liars.
