who's your cremepuff?
I was sitting around, picking the lint from my asscrack, when I realized I should probably let a few of you fine, upstanding citizens know what's going on. I've heard chimes and whispers that some people think I'm not doing much of anything around here, since not much has changed on the site. Au contraire, I just have a development system. The site will be updated in 'refreshes', not 'live fixes' as we used to do. This usually resulted in the "Oh, shit" maneuver which involved closing AIM and frantically trying to find last night's backup.
Where was I? Oh yeah, what I've been doing. After all, oZ isn't sitting around doing nothing; he's picking lint from his asscrack.
So, what's in the next refresh?
Cosmetic: Minor cosmetic changes in the layout, and themes will offically be active via 'my info' or whatever the hell I'm going to call it in the next refresh.
Chat: Will still suck. DigiChat 4.0 was released, and it still licks balls. So much, in fact, that I'm not upgrading. On that fine note, we're going to start looking for one or two chat admins. Inquire in my board, and nevir and I will hash it out. We're also going to look for Q beta testers soon. We'll need one or two Mac OS 9, Windows, and Mac OS X users. Developers -- want to create a X-Windows version of Q? We won't pay you, but you can have your name on it! ;)
Personals: Will work. I'm sure you're all dripping with excitement. Better than excrement, in my humble opinion.
The Boards: Not much changing here, except for some of us on the admin side. Well, that and the damned page turning bug is fixed. On that note, we're looking for a board admin. What the hell is board admin? You get to pick lint too, that's for sure. That, and keeping an eye out for people spamming the boards, causing the layout to get all wonky, etc. Limited power, unlimited glory, let me tell you.
In other news, we're doing pretty well on the donation front. We received almost $150 since the last announcement, but we spent another $600 or so on a new mail server. Yes, the mail will work again soon, and the back end is completely redone so there isn't that damned delay to get your mail. ;) So, hint hint, send your donations in! Don't make me get on my knees here, but fuck, there's no friggin' money here! We're staying ad-free, god dammit!
Speaking of money, we're also going to have some whatthefuck.com merchandise coming your way soon. Stay tuned for more details.
